HOWELL, MI—December 5, 2017 Rep. Hank Vaupel recognized performer Lynn Roberts at the Historic Howell Theater on Friday evening for his leadership in performing arts and sharing his talents as a musician and impressionist. In his recognition, Congressman Vaupel thanked Mr. Roberts for service to Veterans at the Bob Hope Tribute show hosted by the Disabled American Veterans local Chapter 125 of Livingston County. All proceeds from this event benefitted local Veterans and their families.

Lynn “Win” Roberts has been performing professionally since the age of 14. He was a featured vocalist and instrumentalist with many bands, including Wayne King, Ted Weems, Guy Lombardo, and Jimmy Dorsey. He began impersonating stars after hearing that he sounded or looked like them. His favorite impersonations are Bob Hope, Red Skelton, and Jimmy Durante. Roberts won a Clony Award for his impersonation and tribute to Bob Hope in 2006; and the Bea Foggleman Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009 in Las Vegas.
