Ross Mortgage Corporation Gives Employees A Day Off To Participate In Community Service

Ross Mortgage Corporation, a regional, full-service residential mortgage lender headquartered in Troy, Mich., closed its offices for one day on Thursday, August 3, and brought more than 60 employees together to help clean up and rejuvenate a Detroit neighborhood as part of the organization’s annual community day initiative. Tim Ross, CEO of Ross Mortgage Corporation, made the announcement.
As part of the initiative, employees teamed up with Life Remodeled, a Detroit-based nonprofit charity that invests approximately $5 million of labor and materials into one Detroit neighborhood each year. This year, Ross Mortgage employees joined thousands of other volunteers and spent a total of 480 man-hours rebuilding, remodeling and rejuvenating Central High School and its surrounding area by removing blight, picking weeds, tearing down bushes, picking up garbage, cutting lawns and creating safe pathways to schools and homes.
“At Ross Mortgage, giving back to the communities we serve and reside in is a key component of our company culture and core values,” said Ross. “It was a privilege to be part of the Life Remodeled team this year helping to restore the city, and I would like to thank all of our employees who participated.”
