Spring Cleaning

It's that time of year when we begin our spring cleaning. Even the most disorganized souls, such as myself, will feel compelled to wash windows, clean out bureaus and closets, and find ways to purge unwanted items. The same is true for our physical selves. After months of staying inside and lounging, perhaps a little more than we should, we are intrinsically driven to pick up the pace, get off of the couch and get outdoors. As our activity increases, we often begin to feel our bodies responding to the new demands of walking, exercising, gardening and just playing. This is the perfect time of year to begin to incorporate healthier activities. Naturally, we will be eating lighter, fresher foods helping to shed the extra insulation we may have acquired from the sedentary lifestyle of winter. Getting regular massage can help your body to keep up with this new pace. Massage is a great way to keep our muscles lengthened and provides an increase in the circulation of oxygen to the muscles and every cell of our bodies. It also aids in the movement of lymph thereby assisting in the elimination of toxins. So, as you begin to purge your homes of unwanted junk, don't forget to do the same for your body. Get outside, get active, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and drink lots of water.
At Renew Bodywork Center for Wellness, we offer a massage clinic on Mondays and Fridays providing one hour massage sessions for just $59.00. Let our skilled therapists help to clear out the cobwebs, prevent injury and bring renewal to your body.
