Brighton High School comes out with their Taurus Canis Literary Arts magazine for the fifth year.

Brighton High School’s Taurus Canis Literary Arts Magazine came out on Thursday, May 19th. This is the fifth year for the magazine. The magazine is put together throughout the school year incorporating student and staff submissions highlighting student writing and artwork. The magazine was led by Editor-in-Chief, junior Rachel Matuszewski.
During distribution the school store, Peddler's Paw, had raffles to win prizes which accompanied a free magazine. Also during lunch across from The Paw, there was art and writing set up that is featured in the magazine. Magazines are provided for everyone who is featured in the magazine as well as English and Art teachers at the high school. Further distribution will find its way into coffee shops, doctors' offices, and other businesses in Brighton. Brighton Library will also have copies available.
The magazine features poems, short stories, and art and photography. There was a writing contest which featured a $50 prize, won by freshman Emiley Hepfner.

“The magazine was a lot of hard work but fun to put together. It is really rewarding to see students' art and writing published for everyone else to enjoy,” Matuszewski said.
