The Wall of Faces- DAV Chapter 125 Call to Action

Help us find the 158 missing photographs of fallen servicemen from Michigan on the Wall That Heals.

HOWELL, MI- The Wall That Heals, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, along with a mobile Education Center, is coming to Livingston County on August 23-26, 2018 at Spencer J. Hardy Airport,
3399 Country Airport Drive, Howell, MI 48855 and will be open 24 hours a day and is free to the public. The Wall That Heals honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed forces in the
Vietnam War and bears the names of the more than 58,000 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam.

As part of our Wall That Heals event in August the members of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 125 and our partners have also taken on the task of supporting the VVMF program of The Wall of Faces where they are working to track down and include a photo of EVERY service member who's name appears on the Wall.

DAV Chapter 125 has been actively posting names of the men and women whose pictures are not accounted for. as we begin weekly postings of names of the 158 Michigan service members who's picture is missing. Our goal is to find and submit those photos to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund during the visit of The Wall That Heals to Howell from August 23 - 26, 2018.

Based in Arlington, Virginia, VVMF (the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund)
is the nonprofit organization authorized by the U.S. Congress in 1980 to
build a national memorial dedicated to all who served with the U.S.
armed forces in the Vietnam War. Incorporated on April 27, 1979 by a
group of veterans led by Jan C. Scruggs, the organization sought a
tangible symbol of recognition from the American people for those who
served in the war.
