• Bronson businesses chosen for Match on Main Grant program (wtvbam.com) — Bronson city officials are backing grant applications that could bring up to $25,000 each to Smitty’s Pizza and Shaunda’s Hair Chair for key upgrades and expanded space. After a competitive application process, these two businesses were selected as finalists, following a previous successful Match on Main grant for Economy Garage. Final council approval will allow Bronson to submit the new requests to the state. 
• Coldwater, Bronson girls soccer drop 7-0 decisions (wtvbam.com) — Bronson’s girls soccer team dropped to 1-2-1 after a 7-0 road loss to Olivet, but the Vikings avoided a mercy-rule ending and quickly turn around to play at Sturgis Saturday morning. The article also recaps Coldwater’s 7-0 defeat to Marshall in a rain-delayed Interstate 8 opener.
