• Buchanan Commissioners approve ordinance to encourage development of workforce housing (wsjm.com) — Buchanan city commissioners have approved a new ordinance that lets workforce housing developers apply for Payment in Lieu of Taxes agreements, lowering property tax costs to keep rents more affordable. The change is aimed at a planned 24-unit duplex project on the city's historic north side and sets up a formal application and review process for any future PILOT-supported housing proposals.
