• New Chelsea public mural features optical illusion (mlive.com) — Downtown Chelsea just gained a new public mural at Palmer Commons, home of the Chelsea Farmers Market, featuring an optical-illusion swing that invites visitors to pose as if sitting on it. Commissioned by the Chelsea Downtown Development Authority and painted live during the market, the piece expands the city's growing public art collection and adds another reason to explore downtown. 
• Chelsea High School Senior Named a National Merit Semifinalist (thesuntimesnews.com) — A Chelsea High School senior, Wyeth Angus, has been named a National Merit Semifinalist, placing among the top test-takers in Michigan and earning recognition from the Chelsea School District board. District leaders praised his hard work and explained that he'll now submit a detailed application to compete for finalist status and potential scholarship awards in the spring.
