Clawson High and Troy Athens High School students recently gathered to make 50 Build-a-Bears at the store’s Somerset location, and donated the bears to the Snowpile Program at Children's Hospital of Detroit, which allowed parents of patients to choose gifts for their children and siblings this holiday season.
Shelby DuFresne, a sophomore at Clawson High, spearheaded the project, which was supported by the school's Interact Club. In addition, the Troy Athens Project Lead service club raised money through pizza sales to purchase the bears.
