Since May of 2011, Walton Charter Academy has collaborated with Gleaner’s Food Bank to distribute over 90,000 pounds of food for Walton families in need. Each month, families receive 50 pounds of food, including 10 pounds of chicken, 10 pounds of fruit, 10 pounds of vegetables, and 20 pounds of dry items and canned goods. With the help of these parent volunteers, National Junior Honor Society, and Walton staff, the school has distributed food to over 200 families.
