'Get Out of Your Vehicle': Unbelievable Video of Massive I-94 Pileup

Some witnesses to that terrifying 150-vehicle pileup on I-94 Friday shot some cell phone video before assisting motorists who had crashed.

Steel crashing against steel can be heard as truckers and passenger car drivers were unable to stop on the snow-packed route. The witnesses rushed to help,

“Get out of your vehicle,” one said.

“You’ve got to get out.”

“Watch yourself.”

Car alarms were sounding. Somewhere, a child cried.

A Canadian truck driver was killed and at least 22 other people were injured in the accident, which caused fires on trucks carrying hazardous materials and fireworks, the latter of which caused an extended display of aerial explosions.

Police described the scene as “very chaotic.” Police initially estimated of the number of vehicles involved to 150 from 90, the Detroit Free Press reports.
