Baker College to hold high school financial aid presentations

Presentations at Madison, New Haven, East Detroit and Lakeview high schools will help college-bound students complete the FAFSA form.

Baker College of Clinton Township will hold financial aid presentations and workshops at several area high schools for prospective college-bound seniors. The sessions will focus on completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.

The high school seniors and their parents or guardians are welcome to attend the event at their respective schools, whether or not they have identified their colleges of choice.

The schedule is:

· Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Madison High School, 6 p.m.

· Wednesday, Jan. 27, at New Haven High School, 7 p.m.

· Wednesday, Feb. 10, at East Detroit High School, 6:30 p.m.

· Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Lakeview High School, 6 p.m.

The FAFSA is required of any student seeking federal financial aid including grants, loans and work-study funds. The Michigan Student Financial Aid Association recommends filing the FAFSA by March 1, 2016, to access the most assistance possible. Representatives from Baker College of Clinton Township will assist students and parents with applying for federal and state financial aid.
