Baker College’s Clinton Township campus to hold info event for high school seniors Feb. 25
The open house for college-bound students and their parents is designed to help them better understand financial aid and career options.

Baker College’s Clinton Township campus will hold its Senior Open House for high school students, 9:30-11:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Student Center, 34950 Little Mack Ave., Clinton Township. Reservations are required and due no later than Thursday, Feb. 23.
The event is designed to help college-bound students and their parents understand college funding and career options. They can also learn about their individual awards at Baker College and the scholarships still available. It is free of charge and open to all prospective college students, whether or not they have identified Baker College as a college of choice.
Students attending the event will be entered into a drawing for prizes, and three attendees will each win a $1,000 scholarship to the Clinton Township campus.

“This is an interactive event that will help students and parents understand the many opportunities that can help defray their individual college costs,” said Patricia A. Kaufman, Ed.D., Baker College of Clinton Township president. “For those who are undecided about an academic program, we have a wonderful tool that will match them with 10 career choices based on their interests and personality. It’s fun and insightful.”
Following check-in and a light breakfast, Baker College financial service advisors will provide a profile and explanation of the various types of financial aid available, including scholarships, grants, loans and work-study options, and identify what needs to be done between now and the start of college.

Admissions advisors will offer information and be available to answer questions about Baker College.
Financial service advisors will be available to assist students who have not completed the Free Application for Financial Student Aid (FAFSA), which determines eligibility for annual student financial aid.
Those planning to complete a FAFSA are encouraged to bring the following information: 2015 U.S. federal tax forms 1040 and W-2, and 2015 untaxed income amounts (e.g., Aid to Dependent Children, Social Security, child support, etc.). The state FAFSA submittal deadline is March 1, 2017, by midnight CST.
