Clinton Township police investigated a report of gunfire in family dispute.

Clinton Township police investigated a report of gunfire Thursday morning that apparently stemmed from a family dispute, but injuries reportedly resulted from an attack with a shovel and a fistfight

None of those involved in the dispute, which took place about 5 a.m. Thursday on Katzman Street just east of Gratoit and south of Metro Parkway, required hospitalization,  the Macomb Daily reports.

Authorities don’t know what the fight was about, but said it involved cousins and brothers in the same family.
