Stabbing at Royal Motel; Gas Tanks Punctured on Multiple Cars in Clinton Twp.

Search on for suspect in Royal Motel stabbing
Clinton Township police are searching for a 50-year-old Mount Clemens resident another man Tuesday afternoon at the Royal Motel on Gratiot.
The victim, a 37-year-old Pontiac man, told police he was staying at the motel on 34410 Gratiot Ave. with a friend when the suspect and another individual came to visit. When the friend left for work, the three were still in the room and an argument broke out between the victim and the suspect, according to the police report.

During the fight, the suspect pulled out a gold-handled folding lockblade buck knife and stabbed him in the left shoulder, the victim told police.

Police say drug paraphernalia, such as syringes and cut aluminum cans, were found in the motel room.
The suspect has not yet been arrested, but will face a charge of aggravated felonious assault, according police.
Gas siphoner at large in Clinton Township
From the evening of Aug. 31 to the morning of Sept. 1, four residents in northern Clinton Township reported to police that someone had punctured and emptied their gas tanks.
Clinton Township Police Lt. David Dunn said it is likely one individual is responsible for all four instances.
- A vehicle owner in the 19800 block of Jolgren reported the gas cap on his GMC Sierra had been removed Sometime between 10:30 p.m. Aug. 31 and 8:30 a.m. Sept. 1. The owner smelled gas and checked under the vehicle where he found a small hole in the bottom of the tank and the gas leaking out, according to the police report.
- A resident in the 44200 block of Bayview reported spotting someone siphoning gas from his vehicle at approximately 7:20 a.m. Sept. 1. The resident said he noticed a black Jeep Cherokee parked near his Ford F250. As he got closer, he said he saw a white male pouring gas into his Jeep. The man drove off when he noticed the resident approaching, according to the police report. The resident told police he found a small hole drilled in his gas tank and gas leaking out.
- A resident in the 41200 block of Beechwood reported someone had drilled a hole in the bottom of his truck’s gas tank sometime between 5 p.m. Aug. 31 and 10 a.m. Sept. 1. The resident said he had filled his tank the night of Aug. 31 and the next morning found his gas gauge on empty. He told police he filled up a second time before noticing gas leaking out of the bottom of his tank, according to the police report.
- A resident in the 19400 block of Ingram reported his gas cap had been removed from his Silverado sometime between 7 p.m. Aug. 31 and 9:45 a.m. Sept. 1. He told police he had gone to the gas station to fill his tank and by the time he returned home the gas gauge was on empty. He then discovered the tank had been punctured, according to the police report.
CVS pharmacist uncovers prescription fraud
On Sept. 1, at approximately 4:12 p.m., a pharmacist at the CVS on 15255 17 Mile Road reported to police that a 35-year-old woman had dropped off a fraudulent prescription.
The woman had submitted a prescription for a teenager, but feeling the prescription was too strong, the pharmacist called the doctor listed on the prescription to verify it. The doctor said he never wrote the prescription and a check of the pharmacy’s computer revealed that the woman had recently filled five different prescriptions for five different children at five different CVS stores, according to the police report.
When a 51-year-old man came in to pick up the prescription, the pharmacist called police and filled a prescription bottle with Tic Tacs in an attempt to stall the man until police arrived. He left the store before police arrived, according to the report.
There have been no arrests in this case.
