Woman Dies Following House Fire Rescue in Clinton Township

Authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze that killed a 59-year-old resident of Biland Drive.

UPDATE: Authorities believe the fire that killed a 59-year-old Clinton Township resident started in the kitchen of the Biland Drive home.

A 59-year-old Clinton Township woman died from her injuries shortly after she was pulled from her burning home early Friday morning, according to WDIV-TV, Channel 4.

The woman, whose name was not released Saturday, was pulled from the burning home on Biland Drive, off Heydenreich, by a relative, Clinton Township Fire Chief John Shea said. She was severely burned, suffered smoke inhalation and later died.
