2 Homicides, 34 Rapes in Dearborn in 2014: FBI Crime Stats

The FBI has released its Crime in the United States report for 2014.

Dearborn had 339 incidents of violent crime, including two homicides and 34 rapes, according to the the FBI’s recently released Crime in the United States report for 2014,

Property crimes were the most frequently reported crimes in the city, followed by larcenies and thefts, according to the report.

Wayne County’s figures were not included in the report. The FBI said it did not include figures from agencies whose data was determined to be under-reported.

Dearborn, with a population of 95,396, reported the following:

  • Violent crime: 339
  • Murder and non-negligent homicide: 2
  • Rape: 34
  • Robbery: 97
  • Aggravated assault: 206
  • Property crime: 3,135
  • Burglary: 338
  • Larceny-theft: 2,386
  • Motor vehicle theft: 411
  • Arson: 9
