Today's riddle: What is clean when it is black and dirty when it is white? π€ (Answer below!)
1. Dearborn's roads could look very different. Mayor asks residents to weigh in (mlive.com) β Dearborn is weighing big changes to several major roads, and Mayor Abdullah Hammoud is asking residents where to narrow lanes, add bike lanes, and plant trees. Recent safety efforts have already cut crashes, and projects like Schaefer and Warren are early examples. Now the city wants your feedback before it finalizes designs for corridors like Michigan Avenue, Outer Drive, and Industrial Road.

2. Brome Modern Eatery adds trees to the menu in Dearborn (metrotimes.com) β Eating at Brome Modern Eatery's Dearborn locations can now help plant free trees in city neighborhoods through donations to the Dearborn Tree Fund. The program lets homeowners request trees for their easements, with the city handling species selection and planting. Dearborn residents can also donate directly or call 311 to request a tree.

4. TEK Inhibitor Effective in Phase 3 Vitiligo Trial (medscape.com subscription) β A Henry Ford Hospital dermatologist from Dearborn helped lead a major international trial showing that the oral drug ritlecitinib significantly improves vitiligo over 52 weeks with no major new safety concerns. While not yet approved for vitiligo, the findings suggest Dearborn-area patients may eventually gain access to the first oral treatment option, especially helpful for those with more extensive or actively spreading disease.
