Are crimes on the rise in Dearborn?

In a recent interview with What's Up Media Network , chief Ronald Haddad of the Dearborn Police Department discussed recent events that happened in Dearborn including crimes rates, accidents, and community questions.

-Accidents are happening due to reckless driving however the percentage
of car accidents is still around the same throughout the past years
(3400 to 3600 per year)
-Larency from auto is down by 25.3% (year to date) due to the "Lock it or Loose it" campaign
-Crime is 7.4% down in Dearborn (year to date)
-Drug offenses are up 4.8% in Dearborn (year to date)
-Retail fraud is 5.8%down in Dearborn (year to date)

-If you don't have a driveway or can't park on driveway during public
service days (garbage days), call the city at 313-943-2259 for a special
permit
-Do not leave kids by themselves in the car
-If you see something suspicious, call 911 right away
