Boy, 13, Brings Gun, Ammo To Wayne County Middle School: Prosecutor
The boy faces multiple charges and was placed in a juvenile detention facility.
INKSTER, MI — A 13-year-old boy is facing charges after bringing a gun and ammunition to a middle school in Wayne County, according to prosecutors.
The incident happened at 11:18 a.m. Monday at Tomlinson Middle School in Inkster, according to prosecutors.
Prosecutors said the boy brought an unsecured handgun and ammunition into the school in his backpack.

Officers were called to the school and arrested the boy, according to prosecutors.
The boy was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon in a weapons-free school zone.

He was placed in a juvenile detention facility with a $3,000 bond. He was also ordered to have no possession of firearms or ammunition and to comply with school disciplinary action.
His next court date is scheduled for April 14.
