So You’re Too Good for Group Exercise?
There's a good reason why group exercise classes are so popular- they work.

If you’ve never been to a group exercise class I suggest trying it some time. Maybe you’ll find a friend, learn a new exercise, hear a new song, get into a weekly exercise routine, or push yourself a little harder than you otherwise would have.
First comes finding a class. You need one that fits your fitness level. If you have a history chuck full of past injuries and arthritis, Boot Camp probably isn’t for you. If you’re looking to build some muscle tone and bone density, you may want to try Yoga. After you determine the class format(s), well, you just have to go try it. Most gyms have free trial passes to let you preview a class before you purchase a whole month or year aerobic package. Also, keep in mind that some gyms require you to call ahead or “reserve” your spot in a class before it fills up.
Let’s face it, not only do you have to enjoy the class format, but you also have to enjoy the instructor. A good instructor will motivate you and remind you to keep proper form. They will play music that you can sync into and help facilitate your workout so you get the most out of it. As a bonus, most instructors will announce other events going on at the facility or within the community. And during this whole process you may find yourself being inspired by others, or believe it or not – inspiring others.

There is nothing better than having someone put together your whole workout routine, make your playlist, make sure your “friends” are sweating it out with you, and hold you to the workout for an hour. Try a class. It is there waiting for you, the same day at the same time, every week. No excuses.
