UPDATED: Lockdown Lifted at Hamtramck Schools

HAMTRAMCK, MI – A district-wide lockdown at Hamtramck Public Schools has been lifted.
The schools were placed on lockdown around 11:45 a.m. Wednesday after Hamtramck police received an anonymous call warning of an individual carrying a gun near the high school, police told The Detroit Free Press.

The schools — Horizon, Kosciuszko, Dickinson West, Dickinson East, Holbrook and ECE — were removed from the lockdown at 12:38 p.m. after a sweep of the high school and community center, police said.
