BREAKING: Arson Suspect Captured on Video

Dearborn police are seeking information about a suspect believed to have torched a garage.

Dearborn police have released a video of a suspected arsonist believed to have torched a garage in the 6400 block of Orchard around 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17.

The videos, captured on a nearby surveillance camera, show a light-skinned male riding his bicycle down an alley. After a short stop, a garage was ignited and caught fire, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male of unknown ethnicity who appeared to be in his 20s or 30s and of average build. He was wearing a baseball cap and shorts.

The suspect quickly fled on bicycle from the area after the fire was started.

“We strongly encourage anyone with information to come forward and assist us in identifying the suspect in this case,” Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said.
