Burglars Smashed Truck Into Jewelry Store: Reward For Info

One video shows one of the burglars clumsily dropping a motorcycle.

DEARBORN, MI -- Dearborn police are asking the public's help with information pertaining to a jewelry store burglary that took place on Aug. 2 around 4:45 a.m around Ford Road and Schaefer.

Police released surveillance footage of the burglars, who used a truck to smash through the doorway of the jewelry store to gain entry, then stealing "numerous pieces of jewelry," according to a press release from the City of Dearborn.

The two suspects abandoned the truck in an alley, the press release said, and fled the scene on a motorcycle.

"Crime reduction is a top priority of the Dearborn Police Department. When these crimes occur, please know the utmost effort will be placed on identifying the offender(s) and bringing them to justice," Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said.

One video shows the truck and motorcycle pulling up, and the driver of the motorcycle clumsily dropping the bike and picking it back up.

The Dearborn Police Department is asking the public's help in identifying the suspects.
