DAC To Re-Open On Fridays For Most City Services
Dearborn will return to Friday hours at the Dearborn Administrative Center (DAC) for most popular services.
In order to better accommodate residents, especially those seeking election assistance, the City will return to Friday hours at the Dearborn Administrative Center (DAC) for most popular services. Beginning Friday, Oct. 16, the DAC will be open from 8 a.m. – noon, and 1 – 5 p.m. At the DAC on Fridays, customers can access the permits and inspections counter, Treasury Office, and Assessor services, in addition to the City Clerk’s Office for election-related business. Other services are only offered Monday through Thursday. The Clerk’s Office is also expanding its hours leading up to the Nov. 3 presidential election to allow residents more time to prepare. The Clerk’s Office will be open from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. for election services only on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Tuesday, Oct. 13 until Tuesday, Nov. 3. The DAC will not be open for other services during these evening hours. The Clerk’s Office will also have extended hours for election-related services on Saturdays and the Monday prior to the election as follows:• Saturday, Oct. 17 and Oct. 24: 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. • Saturday, Oct. 31: 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. • Monday, Nov. 2: 5 - 7 p.m.For election information, please call 313-943-2010. Although city employees work each business day, the DAC had been closed to customers on Fridays to allow for additional cleaning of the building and to allow the efficient deployment of staff resources.
