Even more convenient, residents can use any DivDat Kiosk in Metro Detroit to pay their bills. There are more than 60 self-serve kiosk machines at 52 locations within the Metro Detroit area.
So, if residents want to pay their bill in cash on a federal holiday, weekend or after hours when the DAC is closed, they will be able to pay at any of these locations. They can locate the kiosks using the DivDat phone app or online at http://divdatkiosknetwork.com/.
This service will help reduce wait times for residents at the Dearborn Treasury counter and will provide a receipt for all transactions.
“Our residents will be able to look up their bills, pay their bills, email themselves the receipt and be done in a couple of minutes,” said Treasurer Ginger Burke-Miller. The DivDat system also alerts residents that they have delinquent property taxes at the Wayne County Treasurer so that past due amounts can be chosen to be paid first. “This integration between the County and the City allows residents greater opportunity to avoid foreclosure,” she added.
The kiosk is expected to be implemented no later than May 1.
The resident pays a fee when paying by card in the kiosk and by card on the mobile app. The credit/debit card convenience fee is 3% for the resident.
Free forms of payment using this new method include: • Kiosk – Cash and Check• Mobile app – E-check (electronic check).
Traditional forms of payment are still available. Residents can still mail in their payments, pay at the Treasury counter, put payments in the secure drop box in the DAC’s parking lot or lobby, pay online or by phone, or sign up for the automatic transfer of funds.
