Seventeen individuals and families were recognized recently for improving the appearance of their properties in what the Dearborn officials called an “outstanding fashion.”

The Dearborn City Beautiful Commission recognizes homeowners whose extraordinary care and creativity make their property pop, whether they have a charming bungalow or an expansive showpiece. The awards help encourage all residents to keep their homes and gardens beautiful.

“Residents recognized by the City Beautiful Commission put forth that extra effort to keep their property attractive, and help make our entire community an appealing place to live,” Mayor John B. O’Reilly Jr.said in a statement. “Thank you for taking pride in your homes and in our city.”

The recipients of 2015 Dearborn City Beautiful Commission award winners are:

Award citations were presented during a ceremony at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center. Winners were selected from each of the 17 districts created by City Beautiful Commissioners to guarantee all sections of Dearborn are represented. Additionally, runner-ups in each district will receive a special display decal in the mail.
