Dearborn City Closings, Trash Collection Schedule For New Year’s Holiday

Most City of Dearborn buildings will be closed for New Year's Eve (Tuesday, Dec. 31) and New Year's Day (Wednesday, Jan. 1).

Most City of Dearborn buildings will be closed for New Year’s Eve (Tuesday, Dec. 31) and New Year’s Day (Wednesday, Jan. 1).

Trash and recycling collection will occur as normal on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 31. It will be delayed on Wednesday, Jan. 1, New Year’s Day. Trash and recycling will be collected Thursday, Jan. 2 for the Wednesday district, Friday, Jan. 3 for the Thursday district and Saturday, Jan. 4 for the Friday district.

Residents with questions about trash or recycling collection should call GFL at 844-233-8314.

The Dearborn Administrative Center, 19th District Court, libraries, and the DISC will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 31 and Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Need a holiday workout? The Ford Community and Performing Arts Center will be open from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Dec. 31, New Year’s Eve, and 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Jan. 1, New Year’s Day.

The Senior Center inside the Center is closed for the holidays and will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2.
