Dearborn Has 98 Registered Sex Offenders

DEARBORN, MI — Before kids go out trick or treating on Halloween, fall is a good time to take an inventory of who is living in your neighborhood. The city of Dearbron currently has 98 registered sex offenders listed on the Michigan Sex Offender Registry.

A total of 14 sex offenders on the registry are currently listed as non-compliant, meaning they have not provided updated address information to the state. The Registry database is searchable by county, municipality, city, zip code and mile radius of a particular address.

People also can search by an individual’s name, non-compliant offender status, sexually violent predator status and transient offender status. Here is a link to the Michigan Sex Offender Registry that shows all Dearborn offenders.

According to state law, if a registered sex offender is on active supervision, they are banned from Halloween activities involving children. Registered sex offenders having Terminated status are not on state supervision and are not subject to this restriction.
