DEARBORN, MI — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Reason for recognition: Betsy Cushman has been a driving force in the community. She has been
the president of League of Women Voters Dearborn/Dearborn Heights for many years. She has
stepped up to take on the role of Vice President Voter Services of League of Women Voters MI
One thing to know: Betsy has selflessly worked hard as a volunteer to help register, to educate,
and to encourage voting of all ages. Thanks for contributing to a non partisan democracy!
