Dearborn Historical Museum Hosts Concert, Antique Appraisals

DEARBORN, MI — The Dearborn Historical Museum is hosting two community events coming up this weekend. An outdoor banjo concert is back by popular demand and an antiques appraisal will be held. Here’s a look at the details:
The banjo show will run 1-2 p.m. April 27 on the Ross House grounds, 915 Brady St., Dearborn and feature performers in town for the North American International Banjo Convention. Seating on picnic tables is provided and attendees can also bring their own chairs or blankets. The concert is free, though donations will be accepted.

An antique appraisal clinic will be offered on April 28, starting at 11:30 a.m. at the Dearborn Historical Museum’s McFadden-Ross House, just north of Michigan Avenue. Antiques and collectibles will be evaluated by expert appraisers from DuMouchelles Art Gallery.
The cost for an appraisal is $10 per item, with a limit of five hand-carried items per person. The event is sponsored by the Museum Guild of Dearborn and funds raised will support the Museum.

Pay the fee and pre-register in person or by calling 313-565-3000; online registration is not available this year.
Guests are allowed to bring firearms, furniture or musical instruments to be evaluated.
