Dearborn Home Inspections Resumed Monday

In accordance with Gov. Whitmer's executive order 2020-70, the City of Dearborn has resumed home inspections as of Monday.

In accordance with Gov. Whitmer’s executive order 2020-70, the City of Dearborn has resumed home inspections as of Monday, May 11.

Though the Dearborn Administrative Center (DAC) remains closed, residents are able to schedule inspections either by phone or online. For sales, rental, or re-occupancy inspections, please call 313-943-2120, or email either gfronczack@ci.dearborn.mi.us or afry@ci.dearborn.mi.us.

To schedule a permit inspection for a construction project, residents are asked to call the automated inspection system at 313-943-2400.

In addition, permit applications and plans are still being accepted. They may be submitted either by mail or at the drop-box located in front of the DAC’s main entrance.

Please note that plan reviewers and inspectors are available to meet by appointment only.

The City is taking several precautionary measures in order to ensure both residents and employees remain safe during inspections taking place during the COVID-19 pandemic.
