Dearborn Man Sentenced To Prison For Sexually Assaulting A Child For More Than 7 Years: Prosecutor

A Dearborn man will spend decades in prison for sexually assaulting a child for more than seven years in Roseville, prosecutors said.

DEARBORN, MI — A Dearborn man will spend decades in prison for sexually assaulting a child for more than seven years in Roseville, according to prosecutors.

Elie Otayek, 43, was found guilty of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and second-degree criminal sexual conduct after three-day jury trial last November.

He was sentenced to 25–40 years in prison for first-degree criminal sexual conduct and an additional 8–15 years for second-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Otayek must register as a Tier III Sex Offender (lifetime registration) and to the Wyatt’s Law, which is a database of individuals who are convicted of criminal offenses related to children. He also has to submit to HIV testing and cannot contact victim.

He received 62 days credit on both sentences, which will run concurrently, according to prosecutors.

Lucido.
