Dearborn Offers Antique and Collectible Appraisal Clinic

The Dearborn Historical Museum is bringing expert appraisers to town from DuMouchelles Art Gallery.

An antique appraisal clinic will be offered to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Dearborn Historical Museum’s McFadden-Ross House, 915 Brady Street (just north of Michigan Avenue).

The cost for an appraisal is $10 per item and there is a limit of five hand-carried items per person.

The event is sponsored by the Museum Guild of Dearborn and monies raised support the Museum.

Organizers are excited about a new registration option for the annual event. For the first time, those with treasures can pay fees and pre-register online for their preferred appraisal time at http://thedhm.com/

Walk-in participants must be at the Museum by 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 4, where they’ll be assigned the next available time slot.

Antiques and collectibles will be evaluated by expert appraisers from DuMouchelles Art Gallery.

Do not bring musical instruments, furniture or weapons for appraisal.
