Dearborn Public Library Hosts Local Chef Sept. 17 For Free Virtual Cooking Demo
The Henry Ford Centennial Library will host local chef Zee Shami for a virtual cooking demonstration on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m.
Need a break from the stress of everyday life? The Henry Ford Centennial Library will host local chef Zee Shami (“Zee the Cook”) for a virtual cooking demonstration on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m.
This event is free. You will need to register, however, at the Dearborn Public Library website (www.dearbornlibrary.org) to receive a Zoom Meeting Link. This program is limited to 100 participants.

The Sept. 17 program will be a treat for anyone who already enjoys cooking, or who wants to learn. Ms. Shami owns and operates Zee the Cook Cooking School in Dearborn Heights. At her cooking school, Ms. Shami strives to educate, excite and empower students of all ages to expand their minds and to enhance their taste-buds while tapping into their creative selves.
During the program, Ms. Shami will be making Fall Detox Vegetable Soup. Participants are encouraged to try their hand at preparing the soup along with Ms. Shami during the program. A list of ingredients is available on the library website when you register.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Dearborn Public Library is bringing all of its programming online in order to provide both educational and entertainment opportunities to the community, said Librarian Dan Lodge.
