Dearborn Students Honored in Essay Contest
Each of the two winners received a $500 check for her essay.
Winners of the second annual Dearborn Library Foundation essay writing contest have been selected. The contest is hosted by the Foundation and sponsored by Village Ford along with contest partners, State Farm and Century 21.
This winter essays were submitted by 77 of the city’s high school seniors on the topic of The Book That Most Influenced My Life.
In a June 4th ceremony at Village Ford $500 checks were awarded to the authors of the two best essays. This year’s winners are:

Ki Lee O’Brien for her essay on "The Foot Book." Ki Lee is planning on attending Wayne State University.
Rachel O’Neill for her essay on "The Year We Disappeared." Rachel is considering attending Wayne State or Siena Heights University.
