After an investigation, Dearborn police concluded that Chatti had fabricated the entire story and gave conflicting reasons for making up the story. Police said “significant law enforcement resources were expended in an effort to ensure the safety of Dearborn community.”
Chatti was arraigned Thursday in 19th District Court on a felony charge of making a false report or threat of a bomb/harmful device. Judge William Hultgren set bond at $2,500/10 percent and scheduled a probable cause hearing for 1 p.m. on Feb. 24.
