Dearborn Woman Awakes to Intruder Climbing In Window
Evidence at the scene of a home invasion in the 2500 block of Holly Street linked a suspect to the crime, and he was arrested within hours.

A 19-year-old Detroit man is in custody and charged with first-degree home invasion after he allegedly climbed in a Dearborn resident’s front window and knocked an air-conditioning unit, awakening her from her sleep about 2 a.m. Wednesday.
The Dearborn Police Department said in a news release that the suspect, Brandon Kyle-Edward Williams, was arrested shortly after he allegedly broke into the home in the 2500 block of Holly Street. The resident screamed when she saw him, and he fled the scene.
Evidence at the scene linked Williams to the crime, police said, and the was arrested within hours of the crime, Police Chief Ronald Haddad said.

Williams was arraigned on the home-invasion charge in 19th District Court by Judge Mark Somers, who set bond at $75,000 cash. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. on July 10, also in 19th District Court.
