Do You Know This Suspect in Dearborn Larceny? WATCH

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to call Dearborn police at its anonymous tip line.

Dearborn police are asking the public’s help to identify the suspect in a larceny of a cash box larceny taken from Beaumont Hospital, 18101 Oakwood, in Dearborn earlier this month.

The cash box was taken from the valet cashier’s desk, while employees assisted customers outside at 7:40 p.m. on Sept. 5. The incident was captured on video, via hospital security surveillance.

The video shows a male suspect, 18-25 years of age, wearing a backpack as he walks behind the valet cashier’s desk while it was unoccupied.

The suspect bent down, out of camera view, near the cabinet where the cash box is located. A few seconds later, the suspect walked away carrying the backpack in hand.

When employees returned to the cashier’s desk the cash box was missing. During this time, video surveillance was able to capture the suspect exiting the area through the Medical Building hallway.

“We strongly encourage anyone with information to come forward and assist us in identifying the suspect in this case,” Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said in a statement.
