4 Teens Arraigned for Dearborn Home Break-In
A preliminary exam will be held for all four young men on Aug. 5.
Four local teenagers were arraigned Thursday in connection with a Tuesday morning home invasion on the 7200 block of Barrie Street, according to a press release.
The suspects had befriended the teenage residents of the house and were visiting them prior to the crime, police said. When both the residents and suspects left the house, one of the four young men asked if he could return inside to use the restroom.
While in the house, police believe he unlocked the bathroom window. After all parties eventually left the area, police said, the suspects returned and gained entry to the home through that window.

They stole a number of items from the house, including one of the homeowner’s firearms, according to Dearborn Police Lt. Patricia Penman.
Gabreen Alkhateeb, an 18-year-old Dearborn Heights resident, was arraigned Thursday on charges of first-degree home invasion, receiving and concealing a stolen firearm, and receiving and concealing stolen property. Dearborn residents Mahmoud Ibrahim, 18, and Karar Albaseri, 17, were both charged with first-degree home invasion, second-degree home invasion, and larceny of a firearm.

Seventeen-year-old Dearborn resident Hussein Fares was arraigned on three counts of receiving and concealing a stolen firearm and one count of receiving and concealing stolen property.
Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad offered simple advice in wake of the incident.
“Parents should talk with their family members and review safety tips, including not allowing anyone in their homes alone and double checking that all doors and windows are locked prior to leaving the home,” Haddad said in a statement.
A preliminary exam for all four teens has been set for 9 a.m. Aug. 5 at the .
