Funeral Home Donates Services for 4 Slain Dearborn Heights Kids
Funeral director asks that money raised in GoFundMe campaigns be used to offset Faith Green's medical expenses.

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI — A Detroit funeral home has offered to provide burial services for the four Dearborn Heights children who were killed early Wednesday morning in a horrific act of family violence.
A GoFundMe account has been established to raise money to cover funeral expenses for the Green-Allen children, but Ozie H. Pye IV, executive director at O.H. Pye III Funeral Home in Detroit, said he will donate the services.
He’s asking that people continue to donate to a GoFundMe account that had raised about $25,820 by Friday night to help offset their mother’s medical bills.

“This was such a horrific event ... we had to do something. This is an entire generation that has been lost with this family,” Pye told the Detroit Free Press. “I've never seen anything like this before. We all were very taken aback. We wanted to do something for this family.”
Prosectors say the children — Kara Allen, 17; Chadney Allen, 19; Koi Green, 5; and Kaleigh Green, 4 — were murdered by Gregoy Vincente Green, 49, an ex-con who served 16 years of an up to 25-year prison for the fatal 1991 stabbing his first wife, who was six months pregnant at the time. The unborn child died as a result.

Details are pending, but Pye said the funeral service for the four children will be held Sept. 30.
“We're going to do our best to help them be at peace,” Pye told the Free Press. “This is just unbelievable. My mouth is still open when I think about it, that someone would do something like this to his own family. I've been encouraging everyone to lift this family up in prayer.”
“Words cannot describe the horrific tragedy our family is experiencing over the untimely deaths of Chadney, Kara, Koi, and Kaleigh. There is no way that a mother could fathom laying to rest one child, let alone all four of her children at once without life insurance.
“Today we are asking for donations of any size. Unfortunately with such short notice there are not proper funds available for such activities. The family is asking for your help to support the actions that need to take place to properly lay to rest the four souls who were tragically stolen from our world.”
“Many of you have heard on the news about the tragedy that occurred in Dearborn Heights this past week. A family was attacked, and unfortunately all four of the children were murdered. Their ages ranged from 4-years-old to 19-years-old. Their mother was severely injured.
“The mother, Faith Green, is an employee for the company I work for, as a whole we want to do what we can to help the mother during this tragic time. We are looking to raise $100,000 to help her pay for the worst funerals she will ever have to attend. Many of us are mothers, and this one just lost all four of the children she has loved since day one. Please help her put her babies to rest.
“Any sort of assistance will be beyond greatly needed and appreciated. This family has just been destroyed, the least we can do is help put them to rest together.”
That campaign had raised $9,860 by Friday night.
