Gleaners Continues To Host Free Drive-Through Food Distribution At The Ford Community And Performing Arts Center Through End Of August
Dearborn is continuing to host free drive-through food distribution events for those in need through the end of August.
In partnership with Gleaners Community Food Bank, the City of Dearborn is continuing to host free drive-through food distribution events for those in need through the end of August.
All food distribution events will take place in the parking lot of the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave. Families and individuals are welcome to attend.

Please note that, beginning June 15, the food distribution events will operate under new hours, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Food given out will include milk, fresh fruit, vegetables, lean protein and other self-stable items.

As of June 1, food distribution events will take place on the following dates from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.:• Tuesday, June 9
Effective Monday, June 15, food distribution events will take place with shorter hours, from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. The remaining dates are as follows:• Monday, June 15• Tuesday, June 23• Monday, June 29• Monday, July 13• Monday, July 27• Monday, August 10• Monday, August 24
Attendees are asked to arrive with an empty trunk and to remain in their vehicles to minimize any potential exposure. Groceries will be placed into your trunk. Food will not be placed into the back seats of vehicles. Those without trunks will be able to pull up to the distribution area and gather their food as walk-ups do.
Guests without vehicles are also welcome to attend, and are asked to maintain a six feet distance from others as much as possible. Individuals will be asked to pick up groceries from a self-service table. Please be prepared to carry 20 – 30 pounds of food. Those without vehicles are welcome to bring a cart, if they are able to.
Attendees are not required to provide identification or proof of eligibility to obtain food.
Through these food distribution events, Gleaners and the City of Dearborn have been able to assist over 80,000 households and donate 2.5 million pounds of food.
The City of Dearborn and Gleaners are taking all necessary precautions to ensure that food is distributed as safely as possible.
