Local League of Women Voters to Hold Town Hall
Learn about Voting Rights, Citizens Redistricting Commission, and Census 2020 on February 15 at Caroline Kennedy Public Library.

The League of Women Voters of Dearborn-Dearborn Heights will hold a Making Democracy Town Hall style meeting on Saturday, February 15, from 1 pm - 3pm at the Caroline Kennedy Public Library (24590 George). Presenters will cover Michigan's new voting rights (resulting from Prop 3), the Citizens Redistricting Commission (created by Prop 2 to end gerrymandering), and the 2020 Census. The LWV is partnering with the Western Wayne County NAACP to sponsor the event.
The Town Hall is free and open to the public. A light lunch will be provided. A volunteer notary public will be available to notarize completed applications to the Redistricting Commission. Members of LWV will be on hand to demonstrate online voting registration and Census staff will share how one can apply to work for the Census. For more information, contact the local LWV at info@lwvddh.org or at 313-278-6476.
