Man Arrested In Shooting That Killed Dearborn Heights Woman: Police
A Taylor man was arrested in connection with a double shooting that killed one and left another injured in Westland, police said.
WESTLAND, MI — A Taylor man was arrested in connection with a double shooting that killed one and left another injured in Westland, police said.
Officers found a 32-year-old Romulus man and a 36-year-old Dearborn Heights woman suffering from a gunshot wound at 2 a.m. in the 37000 block of Scottsdale Circle near Newburgh and Joy roads, police said.
Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital where the woman died and the man was listed in stable condition, police said.

Amir Patterson, 28, was charged with first-degree murder, assault with intent to murder, first-degree home invasion and three second-offense felony firearm violations. He was placed in jail without bond. His next court date was scheduled for June 22.
