Man Faces Charges After Performing Lewd Acts At Dearborn Store: Police
Investigators found video on the man's phone of him following women inside a Dearborn store while performing lewd acts, according to police.

DEARBORN, MI — A 31-year-old man was arrested in connection with making lewd acts at a Dearborn store earlier this month, according to police.
Steven Simmons, of Detroit, was charged with indecent exposure, aggravated indecent exposure, child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.
Simmons pleaded not guilty and was placed in jail with a $100,000 bond. If he is released from jail, he will have to wear a GPS tether. His next court date was scheduled for Feb. 27.

A woman told officers that she saw a man inside a white Jeep Wrangler performing lewd acts in a Dearborn Target parking lot on Ford Road at roughly 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11, according to police.
Officers followed the Jeep as it exited the parking lot and conducted a traffic stop, according to police.

Officers identified Simmons as the Jeep's driver and arrested him in connection with the incident, according to police.
Investigators also found video on Simmons’ phone of him following women through the aisles of the Dearborn Target store while performing lewd acts, according to police.
Investigators found video footage of the incidents dating back to Dec. 3, according to police.
"These incidents are disturbing and traumatic," Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin said. "Thanks to the quick actions of an alert community member, our officers were able to quickly apprehend this individual on-scene. We urge the community to remain observant, and ask anyone who may have witnessed the behavior from this individual to contact our department immediately."
