On Oct. 26, Taylor, who lives in Lincoln Charter Township, allegedly sent an email to the Dearborn city website prodding officials to “contact Divine Child High School about a school shooting today.”

Police notified officials at Divine Child, a private Catholic high school, and a response plan was initiated. Several uniformed police officers provided a high visibility presence on the campus while others conducted a criminal investigation that led them to Taylor.

Police Chief Ronald Haddad said Divine Child students and staff were never at risk and the “very visible response by our department was to ensure the safety of our children at Divine Child and the other nearby schools.”

“We will always err on the side of caution in these situations,” he said at the time.

Taylor’s probable cause hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, in 19th District Court
