Natural Gas Explosion Critically Injures Man Working on Stove
The man, whose name has not been released, was reportedly preparing a property in the 4900 block of Jordan Street for showing.

A man was critically burned Wednesday morning in a gas explosion that occurred while he was working on a stove in a vacant home in the 4900 block of Jonathon Street.
The name of the 77-year-old man, who was taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital, has not been released, The Detroit News reports.
The accident occurred about 11:07 a.m. When firefighters responded, they found the man with severe burns in the front yard, Fire Chief Joseph Murray told the newspaper. A small fire was brought under control in about four minutes.

Murray said the explosion was the result of a natural gas leak.
