Police Looking for Suspect in Armed Robbery

The suspect walked into the back of a local business, demanded cash and then forced his way into a locked office, police said.

Dearborn police are seeking information about a suspect in a Sept. 4 armed robbery in the 13000 block of Michigan Avenue about 1:20 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4., according to a news release.

The victim told police she was working at her desk when a male suspect entered through the rear alley door, displayed a silver handgun and demanded all the cash on hand at the business, which the police department did not name. The victim explained that the business did not have cash on hand and the suspect forced entry into a locked office but did not find any money.

The suspect exited the business through the rear door and is seen on video running east then north in the alley way. The suspect is described as a 30- to 35-year-old black male; 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 9 inches tall; athletic build; wearing black jeans and a black baseball hat with a logo on the front. The suspect may possibly have a color “sleeve” tattoo on his left arm.
