Urban Land Institute Michigan (ULI Michigan), a nonprofit research and education organization committed to creating and sustaining thriving communities across the state, announced that registration is open for the 30th annual UM/ULI Real Estate Forum. The forum will be held Thurs., November 17 at the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Music Center in Detroit and Fri. and Sat. morning, November 18-19 at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business on the University of Michigan campus in Ann Arbor. ULI Michigan Director Shannon Sclafani and Forum Chair Peter Allen made the announcement.

The UM/ULI Real Estate Forum is a partnership with the University of Michigan and the Michigan District Council of the Urban Land Institute. The annual Forum, focusing this year on Placemaking and the City of Tomorrow, engages local, regional and national real estate practitioners and leaders to share experiences with an opportunity to collaborate, innovate and influence. Attendees will learn professional and academic real estate trends on where people live, work and play.

“The 30th UM/ULI Real Estate Forum will bring real estate professionals and current grad and undergrad students eager to join the industry together for 20 hours of innovation, interaction and education,” said Allen. “We encourage anyone in real estate—from development, brokerage and urban planning to law, finance, architecture and construction—to attend to gain a new perspective on the future of commercial real estate and placemaking. Many real estate students will be there as well. An impressive lineup of 50+ expert speakers will discuss trends in quickly evolving market niches, finance options, design values, and especially, how to create a sense of place…how to create an experience.”
