Southfield Freeway Ramp Closures Start Monday
A bridge and pavement repair project at the I-94/M-39 interchange will start March 12 and continue until fall.

A $13.8 million project encompassing bridge and pavement repair will affect Dearborn-area drivers starting Monday, March 12.
According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, roadwork near the I-94/M-39 (Southfield Freeway) interchange will begin Monday. The project includes repairing 12 bridges within the interchange, along with ramp and pavement repairs on I-94 between Pelham Road and M-39 until mid-November.
The following ramps will be closed beginning 4 a.m. Monday until early April:

- Southbound M-39 to eastbound and westbound I-94
- Eastbound Van Born Road to southbound M-39
The following ramps will be closed beginning 4 a.m. Monday until May:
- Westbound I-94 to southbound M-39
- Westbound I-94 to Pelham Road
In addition, the eastbound I-94 ramp to northbound M-39 and the northbound M-39 ramp to Van Born Road will be closed overnights from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning. Overnight double-lane closures on northbound M-39 from Allen Road to Outer Drive will occur until early April.
